No more Sydney, no more Hillsong Conference, no more travelling.
ALL BECAUSE ‘SCHOOL EXPERIENCE’ FALLS ON THE WEEK OF THE CONFERENCE.
I dunno why I was so careless to assume it wouldn’t fall on the same week. ARGH! I don’t know what to feel, how to react. Doesn’t help that it affects Jon and some other people who also had a thought of going. Now we’ll have to wait for next year. Hopefully.
I’m upset. To the point I don’t know how to react to it.

It’s really amazing how this year has been -
1) Change of uni
2) Started driving
3) Went to Melbourne alone to find Ele
4) Did my first exam in NIE
GPA RESULTS. Not fantastic, but average I guesS?
5) Ventured into the Middle East!! Awesome time spent with the family, considering we haven’t had much time together the whole of this year.
6) Went for JG camp in Batam
Fulfilling His Promise
7) Had Uconnect chalet
*Photos still with Kwan*
And now we’re sitting at the edge of 2009 and dropping over to 2010!!
It has been a really fast moving year, and I’m really excited to see what God has in store for everyone in the coming 2010!
And of course, thank you Jonathan for always always being there for me
You da best!! Big big photo for you. Hehe!

It is the FIRST of December. How awesome.
Jon has safely arrived in Vietnam and has been doing some touristy stuff until they start the actual missions on Thursday. Exciting! Anyway, just for memory sake, I shall blog about Jon’s mini surprise before he left!
So we were at Vivo and I was whining about why he didn’t get me any presents recently..(Yea, i’m a brat sometimes) And he was like “okay what do you want? Make a bear? You go to the toilet for 10 mins and i’ll get you something”. Haha I was quite sian-ed that he wasn’t seriously getting me anything.
Anyway to cut the long story short about all the whining. While we were going back to my place, he told me to look into the bag I was carrying (And I had been carrying the same bag the last 2 days), and tada! I found something….
And he actually put it in my bag hoping to surprise me the morning that he leaves so I asked him “huh how if I changed my bag?” and he went “you’re usually too lazy to change the current bag you’re using”. HAHA so clever.
Anyway, I was so touched that I kept tearing and then I started crying cos of some other reasons (Sorry, Jon
) Anyhows, I thought it was really so awesomely sweet, it really made my night. I mean, there I was whining and complaining but he had already something for me!!
Headed back to his place to get my car and while we were hanging at his house, he came out with a big big present!! Another one! The emo me started bawling.
It’s soooo duper adorable yea??
Anyway, so he left for Vietnam shortly after that. Ahh more than half a month before we see each other again but its okay because there’s SKYPE!
So now i’m off to concentrate on our skype conversation!!

One semester’s down???
Time has seriously zoom-ed by so fast and now, one semester is over and we’re reaching the end of the year? One evidence : Mum introduced Jon to Ele (again) thinking they’ve never met before.
I’ve now
- Completed one semester of NIE
- Got the bible study group with my cell going
- Known Jon for MORE than a year
- Been driving very regularly
- Gotten addicted to Bejeweled
- Got lost on the highway with a GPS
- past the “teen” age
- Made really good friends at NIE
- Completed my GESL project
- Gone through weird shiftings in my family’s location
- Explored most of Melbourne (i think)
Okay that was kinda random but at the moment I can’t think of anything else right now.
Dad was back for a short while and we celebrated his birthday with alot of eating marathon.
Will be leaving for Bahrain/Jordan in exactly 2 weeks timee!!! Awesome awesome awesomee. Finally a family holiday. Woots!
Okay, I need a day to properly sit down to write out everything I need to do before I leave. SO many things to do, so many things to settle before I leave. So yes, need to set my mind focused!
We recently got to go out, although most of the time was spent studying =x
Thank you for always being there for me and finding time to do meaningful things together! Love you very very much!

Moving out and away from your comfort zone
Can you imagine if God, one day told you, like how he told Abraham in Genesis 12, “Leave your country, your people, and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you…”
Sometimes I wonder if God were to tell me something similar, that I will be able to do the same. Leaving your comfort zone, going to uncharted waters, doing something that you’ve never done before…
Even as I ponder about this thought, it holds the same in many things that we do. Our apprehension when it comes to a new environment, undertaking a new ministry, starting a new relationship, all these, requires us to move away from our comfort zone, it requires us to embrace change and transformation. Sometimes, we just hold back when it comes to new things. Many times, we don’t adapt to changes around us, but we try to change our new environment to fit to our old system.
God has given us promise after promise in His Word, that He will always be with us. Sometimes, we forget that, and we tend to go back to the way of familiarity, to our comfort zone. What ever happened to the element of Faith?
What is God asking you today, to do something, something new, bold, creative, exciting? Or are we contented with what we have?

I figured I’d better put in an entry before I forget what happened in this part of my life. By the way, I woke up this morning, bathed, had my breakfast, came back to my table and thought to myself “since when did I put on my contact lenses? Or did I forget to take them off last night?”
So absent-minded. Gah!
This week has been “chiong AED105″ essay week. Most of which was contributed by JonWong. Hehe. At least now it’s 95% done! Just have to look through and make amendments here and there.
It is now the 10th week of school (if i’m not wrong), and I can’t believe in about about a month’s time, the first semester of my NIE life has been whoof-ed by. It hasn’t been all smooth-sailing but at least I enjoy what I do here. Assignments and essays are still ugh, but I do get a certain sense of satisfaction/achievement when its done. *thinking of my 2 music essays + AED102 essay makes me UGH now*
Met up with the 2 girls about a week back. One of the funnest meet-up I’ve had with them

And I like to spoil their pretty glam photos by doing this…

See what I mean?
Anyway…Christmas is coming!!!! Hahaha. On one hand, I cant wait for it to come, on the other, I wonder what my plans for Christmas this year would be like. Doubt the parents will be around. IZ would probably have some church thing at NCC, Ele will be back but I’m pretty sure she’ll find her own things to do (?), so that’s left with Ivan and me. Hmm.
And finally! Year end holiday has been fixed..excitedddd!
Sorry Jon, our 12-12 has to be postponed

Don’t give me that look!!!! Lol.

I really miss my hair. It was Rapunzel long and even though most of it had grass texture because it wasn’t well kept and had the lousy colouring from the Philippines, I miss the length of it
OKAY THIS IS UBERLY RANDOM.

Fast approaching week 7 of school. Time is really flying by! I thought I just started school O.o
Nevertheless, really thank God for this opening into NIE. I’ve never enjoyed school more than this. I finally know what it means to be doing something I love. Thank God for the wonderful wonderful friends I have. Hanging out with the Malay and Indian girls reminds me of Shikin and Niki, and brings back the fond albeit few memories of MJ
I <3 multi-racial friends!!
School work hasnt been the easiest of easiest. At least I’m still QUITE consistent in my readings for Lit. Music is the killer
I’ve got to catch up really badly but thank God for the wonderfulll guys who are soo pro and yet willing to help someone as noob as me.
Okay, enough of school. Last few posts have all been about school school and school! Haha.
BOWLING!
Went to Kallang Bowl 2 weeks back with some of the cell people. Awesome fun even though my nail broke
Was majorly upset initially but decided not to be retarded over a broken nail.

No idea what Jon was thinking.
The guys

The girls ♥

Pardon the zi lian photo of myself. It was my only strike of the day. Hahaha!
LIFE!
Its actually quite scary to know that 2009 is fast coming to an end. This coming Friday would be the exact day one year ago that I met Jon at Tung Ling graduation. Its been a YEAR?? Well, I thought my 2008 year would be the only exciting year I’d have, but I think 2009 will prove to be just as exciting.
Looking forward to the family holiday at the end of the year!

Out of here. Spending my Hari Raya holiday to finish up work work work! ![]()

Honey moon period is soooo over.
Stare at it and it’ll stare back at you.
Start moving it and maybe one day it’ll disappear from your line of vision.

School work’s coming up!!
Really requiring alot of discipline and energy from me. Nearly 1.5 years of not really doing anything, suddenly developing a consistency to read my notes (before class) is rather challenging. As much as most people think that Music is gonna be a slack slack subject for me. So NOT. It’s the subject requiring the most energy and time from me. 2 lessons a week, 2 ensembles to join, 1 specialised “instrument”(vocals). Btw, I don’t dread any of these (except one lesson =p). I enjoy going for my ensembles – one’s a pop band, the other’s a vocal ensemble. Its just that it takes up alot of time. Right. I shall stop ranting.
The 3rd week of school has come to an end. Made new friends. I ♥ the Lit girls. ♥♥♥ ALOT. And one of them is an indian Bimbo. ♥ to the MAX. She’s super hyper and cute, with no sense of what it means to speak softly in the library. Hersoft/whisper is like my normal talking voice :p But anyhows, the Lit girls have been awesome and they all speak in English so that’s like a major bonus already
Another highlight of the week just happened ytd, when Jon lent me his car for the day!
So I had to drive to school myself after dropping him in church, drove home myself, had Bible Study ♥ then go to church to pick him up after his prayer meeting. It was ALOT of driving but I loved every single minute drivinggg! And it totalled to nearly 3/8 of his tank’s petrol =x I’m doing my part to contribute to the petrol fund okay
Gonna be off to church in a few hours!
Changes in life are never easy especially when you’re stepping into an unknown.
New friends, new environment, it all sounds great – but at the end of the day, you’re the only one I look forward to.
Hold my hand and walk with me, trust me when I say I’ll never let you go ♥
