Whee the past week has been full of many things: with chalet and then christmas eve and christmas day with the family.

Chalet was awesome.. at least i felt so! Thought the bonding was really good this time and all the planning went really smoothly! I think the warmest thing was when stefen came up to me and said ” thanks for organising all the games”. it was like the best thing to hear and it made all the planning even more worth it. Yayness. The games were really fun : the way rachel carried the games out was just awesome luh. I think at least 90% of the youths had much fun during this chalet and also from Jon’s sharing on the first night. Superbly impressed with his friend that he brought along , daniel. 16 yr old guy — full of passion and on fire for God. And the way he spoke…starting to sound more and more like Jon Carl C. Wong. HAHAHA

BBQ the 2nd night was hilarious because suddenly all the parents turned up and there wasnt enough food. Haha. But all was good and everyone had a very fantastic time. And now some of the youths are calling me mummy. sighhhh.  Photos will be  up soon when i get them from samuel and rachel. wheee!

Christmas day was spent with the family as well. Called ele and some part of the convo went like this…

Dad : so when is school starting again?

Ele: -mentions same date- Going to chiong the next 3 days

Dad and everyone in the car : wah wah so hardworking

Ele : oh no luh, going to chiong shopping! Myer having sale…blah blah..open at 5 am …blah blah

we were laughing like mad in the car man. was hilarious!

Anyhows, the rest of the day was spent shopping with mama! Very very successful cos there was sale everywhere! Very very happy! (:

So this year’s christmas was purely spent with the family which i thought was really cool, except ele wasn’t around. Very sure she had a good time at evelyn’s place over in aussie!

I realize my life is really no longer as happening as it ”used to be”. And srsly, i don’t even know what i’m referring to when i say “used to be”. Maybe the beginning half of this year? Maybe my 2 yrs in JC? Maybe secondary school? Okay so maybe my life’s not been THAT long and neither has it been THAT happening, but i feel the sudden DRAG. Not in any particular area of my life, but just generally. Its like as though every form of “excitement” has vanished.

I blamed it on the uni life. But then whose fault is it that i didnt bother (and still am not bothering) to join any CCAs or extra stuff in school. Whose fault is it that i didn’t join SRC/at least go for the camps when i could. Hmm my fault? Haha. I guess all these give me more time to serve in church, more time with the family, more me time. But it gets to a point where on some days, i just feel totally eck-ed with my own “slopiness”. 

Met Chris on the train a few days back and i asked him why he’s NEVER online and NEVER checks his email. Haha. And he said something along the lines of “nowadays dun need to go online for entertainment, just open my door (in hall) and there’s entertainment already”. And then i think about myself, and how much time i’m spending online. DOTS. And the saddest part is that i actually do have things/work to do or prepare but i decide to come online and do random things like what i’m doing now. Blogging, facebook-ing, reading pple’s blogs? I mean, there’s no fufilment? Sigh. Why huh?

I think its the Sunday Blues. Always Happens.

Anyways, on a “happier note”. Went night cycling again with the younger brother, for about an hour? Haha need to get the legs TONED. I wish it could happen overnight man.

Anyways, Jon the man is back from Cambodia. Whoo. Met up and went to Beach Culture at Pasir Ris. I think that’s the name of the place. Haha totally love it!!! Its directly next to the beach, so while waiting for the food can go for erm romantic walk. HAHA right. anyways, didnt eat much that night, but the food we had was goody. Sadly no camera AGAIN. Live band was a distraction. Haha not up to our standards. Lol. Right. Anyhows, jon knows the owner through his many many PR contacts and hence…

Notice half the banana is gone already. LOL. And we met him just when we decided that we should not be greedy pigs and have dessert that night (VERY RARE.). Yay! So it was a very very fulfilling night catching up and the ambience is breath-taking! The beach somehow reminded me alot about BORACAY. I would definitely definitely want to go back there! HINT HINT. LOL. I’m so grosss.

When the girls stayed over….at 2am in the morning…..

They’re sooo cute! (Imagine if i’m in love with my best friend, that’s Prissy Su! HAHA)

Anyways, told myself to come online just to check my email, but dots, looks like its not happening. Haha, I’m supposed to be studying or at least catching up with last week’s work. So much yet so little time! Soci assignment to complete, IBM assignment in 2 weeks! Ahh! I need to get down to my chair, and glue my butt there.

Met up with lynette and judah ytd to get FREE STARBUCKS at orchard! (: Met up with lynette first and we jalan-ed around (UHoh, i forgot the name of the mall we were at! -_- ), catching up and indulging in ‘each other’s lives’ and mark’s and spencers cookies! Whee~ ate a wee bit too much though. met judah and her siblings at starbucks and went to queue for the free drink! Haha first time i’m doing such a thing man, i usually cant be bothered to queue so long for this kinda thing, but with enthu friends i guess its different! HAHA. So yea, it was awesome just seeing them again, goofing around, cam-whoring ABIT, and just talking about random things under the sun/rain.

Met the little brother at 6+ to catch BOLT. (another show that Jon wanted to watch, but i’m watching it with someone else. Dots) Anyhows, thought it was quite a good show and really, THE HAMSTER (rhino) IS SUPER DUPER ADORABLE!!!! i’m so gonna feed my hamster and make her as fat as the one in the show then put her in her ball. Currently, my hamster looks skinny like i-dunno-what. Ahh. Okay i’d rate the show 4/5? Haha somehow after watching Madagascar (the FIRST one), i’ve not been able to find another cartoon that can match up to it in terms of humour. Oh wells. 

Have you ever wondered..If you were put in a position that you don’t think you’re ready for. But yet, others have such full confidence that you’d do a great job, but yet, you’re so afraid of ruining things, of not living up to such expectations. So you force yourself to be THAT person they “expect” you to be, and eventually you THINK you are THAT person, but at the back of your mind you know you’re not. Yet, you cannot just run away from everything. The responsibility is “in your hands”. They say “Leaders are made, not necessarily born”.

It’s gonna be a looonnngggg weekend without hearing from you.

Was up at 4.40am this morning, waited for Jon to come over in the cab and headed over to the airport. Less than 1.5 hrs later, he was into the departure hall. Managed to catch breakfast at BK first, talked abit, then it was ta-ta time. I’m glad I did go send him off, cos it’d probably so losor-ish to just talk on the phone at 4+ am while i’m half asleep. There, i was, well, MORE awake. Anyhows, he’s reached Cambo safely and probably gonna start his meetings already. Wheeeee back in 9 days. 

Konked out when i reached home at 7am, gonna prepare to go to school soon.  (time check – 10.33am!) As much as i’m not usually so emotional/particular bout such things, its gonna be weird not having the guy around to nag. Even waking up after the nap seemed a challenge cos i was used to somebody calling. Haha i’ve been spoilt. SEE I TOLD YOU. 

I missed Biz class last week! Hopefully this week wouldnt be so lost.  

FINALLY booked driving classes (for JAN..dots…) with Prissy! Like FINALLY i’m gonna start booking my lessons again. Yay so glad we decided to start drviving tgt becos the freaking wait to book the lessons at Kovan CDC is INSANE. Well, at least we had each others company or we would have both gone mad. I love you best friend! And again i’ll say to you…PATIENCE. Hehehe
